Most search visits land on a calculator for one product or one job: Tropic Marin All-For-Reef and Red Sea Foundation dosing, salt mixing, salinity, phosphate media. The reader already keeps a tank and already buys what you make.

Five placements, one brand each

Take a whole placement and your card runs on every page in it, or take a single calculator. The card looks the same wherever it runs: your name, one line, one link, marked “Sponsored”. Pages with no sponsor show only a small “Sponsor this page” link, never an empty box.

How sponsorship works

Sponsorship pays for free calculators. These rules keep readers' trust in them, which is what a sponsor is paying to stand next to.

  • Always labelled. Every card says “Sponsored” and who presents the page, with a note that sponsors pay for it. Links are marked rel="sponsored".
  • Never in the numbers. A sponsor can't change a dose, a formula, a range, a warning, a source or a recommendation, and never sees a page before it publishes. Errors go on the public corrections log, whoever sponsors the page.
  • Your products, on the same terms as anyone's. We can add your products to a calculator, built only from your published label figures, the same way we add any brand's. If your label changes, send it and we update the calculator for everyone.
  • One brand per placement. No competitor appears beside you. A brand that sponsors one calculator takes that calculator over the placement's sponsor for its run.
  • Not where trust comes first. No sponsor on troubleshooting pages, on guides that diagnose a sick tank, or on head-to-head brand comparisons, and none in the embeddable calculators.
  • No tracking scripts. Sponsors run no scripts, pixels or cookies here. Your link carries campaign tags, so the visits show up in your own analytics.
  • Readers' details stay private. We never sell or share anyone's information with a sponsor.
  • Runs with dates. Each run has a start date and an end date and ends on its own. Renew before it ends to keep the placement.
  • Rates on request. They depend on the placement and the length of the run. We don't publish them.
  • We may decline. We don't take sponsorship for products we'd have to misdescribe, or that we think put livestock at risk.

From request to running

Counts in the monthly report come from Google Analytics. Readers who decline analytics cookies aren't counted, so the real numbers run higher.

  1. 1Request rates. Two minutes with the form below: who you are and what you'd like to sponsor.
  2. 2Rates, dates and traffic. We send the rate for that placement, the first open start date and the current traffic for its pages.
  3. 3Your card. You send your name, one line, a link and a square logo. We set it up and send you a preview.
  4. 4Live on the start date. The card goes up on its start date once payment has cleared, and comes down on its end date by itself.
  5. 5A report every month. Card views, clicks to your site and how many people used the calculators your card sits on.

How much does it cost?
It depends on the placement and how long the run is. Ask with the form below and we'll send the current rate, with the traffic for the pages it covers.
Is this an affiliate program?
No. Each run is a flat fee, agreed before it starts. There is no commission and no fee per click or per sale.
Can I sponsor just one calculator?
Yes. The usual case is the calculator for your own product, like the All-For-Reef or Red Sea Foundation calculators. It shows your card on that calculator for the whole run.
Will you add our products to the calculators?
If you publish dosing figures for them, yes, sponsor or not. We build every product from its published label and show the figures and the source on the page.
Can you change a dose or remove a warning for our product?
No. Doses come from your label and from primary sources, and warnings stay whoever sponsors the page. If we have something wrong, send the source and we'll correct it on the public corrections log.
Can two brands share a placement?
No. One brand per placement at a time. A single-calculator sponsor takes that calculator over the placement's sponsor for its run.
How will I know it's working?
You get a report each month with how many times your card was seen and how many people clicked through. Your link also carries campaign tags, so the visits appear in your own analytics.
