Cleanup crew (CUC)
Snails, crabs, urchins, and shrimp added to graze algae and detritus.
Common ratio: 1 snail per gallon (Astrea, Nerite, Cerith mix), a few hermits, 1 cleaner shrimp per 30 gal. Avoid sand-sifting starfish in tanks under 100 gal — they starve.
